KUCHING: There will be no change in the training schedule of athletes preparing for the 20th Johor Sukma.

Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS) director Dr Ong Kong Swee said athletes training would follow the original schedule and comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP).

“Training is still ongoing, except that the SOP has been tightened,” Dr Ong told Suara Sarawak Wednesday.

He said athletes were reminded to be more vigilant, especially throughout the training period with their respective teams.

Dr Ong said that MSNS are monitoring the training sessions through the officers and coaches.

“We are ready to act if there are unexpected problems during training,” he added.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) ordered all sports activities to be postponed immediately and rescheduled after the government’s announcement to re-implement the conditional movement control order (CMCO) in several states in Malaya following the rise of the Covid-19 outbreak.
