MUKAH: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is the strongest party in Malaysia as it has no disunity among its coalitions, said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Abang Johari who is also the party president said that the future of Sarawak is bright and will work with parties that can work together after the 15th general election (GE15).

“This is because we want a strong government of Malaysia.

“Don’t let banana bear fruit two times; the 22 months ago were enough. Don’t change the prime minister in the middle of the road,” he said in his speech during the Mukah Sarawakku Sayang programme here today.

He then said that GPS had decided to field candidates that are the incumbents, new faces, young and old.

“This ensures that we always have backup leaders…we organise the leadership well so that development continues.

“And I am grateful to Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim and Datuk Robert Lawson Chuat who have fought for Sarawak all this time.

“They are among the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) leaders who are really fighting for Sarawak interest,” he pointed out.

He also said that with the understanding and unity between the communities in Sarawak since the beginning was a big factor in GPS’s victory, especially in the 12th state election.

“Therefore, I hope this victory could be maintained in the coming election,” he added.
