KUCHING: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) has not announced its candidate for the upcoming state election yet.

This was made clear by its president Voon Lee Shan, who said the party had its own plan and it would announce the candidates once they have been approved by members.

“We know that the election is coming but there is no urgency for us to announce our candidates at the moment,” he said during a press conference held in his office here yesterday.

Regarding the constituency where he would contest in, Voon said he would leave it to PBK to decide.

“I will let the party members decide the appropriate constituencies for the contesting members,” he said.

“If they want me to contest, I will contest. And if I contest, then the party decides the constituency for me.”

Voon also explained that the party makes its decision based on consensus of all members.

“The party doesn’t belong to me; it belongs to all members,” he explained.
