Miri City Council’s enforcement team demolishing the illegal stalls at Tamu Maigold, Senadin in Miri.

MIRI: City Council had carried out an enforcement operation to put an end to illegal stalls that have been set up at the Tamu Maigold, Senadin.

Three stalls were demolished for illegally conducting businesses without applying for permits from the council.

The operation was carried out in accordance with the provisions of Cleanliness By-Laws 1999.

During the operation, the enforcement team also confiscated another stall and subsequently retained it at the council’s premise.

The operation consisted  of a team that included the Public Cleansing and Maintenance Department (PCM) that supplied the logistics for the truck, and the  Authority Serve (LA Serve) Mobile Unit that regulated traffic flow.

It took the enforcement team about an hour to complete the demolition without any untoward incident.
