KUCHING: The guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) set for MPs for the current Parliament sitting may not be fully adopted by the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

“MPs are subject to guidelines and SOPs set by Parliament itself, the Health Ministry (MoH) and the National Security Council (MKN).

“These guidelines and SOPs need not necessarily be fully adopted by the Sarawak DUN,” said Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice president said the Sarawak DUN would be guided by the state DUN Office, MoH, MKN, and the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) after taking into consideration the seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic in Sarawak.
