No new case recorded

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded zero new Covid-19 case on Wednesday, with the total number of cases remaining at 703.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said nine new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases were recorded during the period.

“As of Sept 24, there are no new recoveries and discharged cases, with the total cases remaining at 681 or 96.87 percent,” it stated.

The committee also said the number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment remains at three cases ­– one each at Sibu Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selangor and Bintulu Hospital.

The Alam Cluster in Bintulu — remains active with eight cases. All of the cases from this cluster have recovered and discharged from hospital.

So far, the state has recorded a total of 19 deaths due to the pandemic.
