KUCHING: The state recorded zero new Covid-19 cases today.

With this, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said there were no additional cases to the six existing active clusters in Sarawak, with the total number of Covid-19 cases remaining at 1,065.

It added that 15 patients were currently receiving treatments at isolation wards in hospitals, namely nine in SGH, four in Miri Hospital and two in Sibu Hospital.

One person under investigation (PUI) was reported while none was awaiting laboratory test result.

SDMC also informed that 244 new persons under surveillance (PUS) had checked into quarantine centres to undergo quarantine.

“This brings the current total number of PUS at 38 hotels and non-hotel quarantine centres statewide to 4,011 persons while 35,403 PUS have completed their quarantine period,” the
committee said.

SDMC added Kuching and Miri districts were still yellow zones with 11 locally transmitted cases reported in the respective districts — nine in Kuching and two in Miri — in the last 14 days.
