No new positive case reported

KUCHING: Sarawak recorded no new positive Covid-19 cases on Sunday (Sept 20), which means that the total number of positive cases in the state remains at 701.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said that there are no new recoveries and discharged from hospital. The total number of recoveries and discharged cases remains at 680 or 97 percent of the total cases.

Two cases are still treated in hospital — one each at Sibu Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selangor.

No Covid-19 patient is being treated in any intensive care unit (ICU). And one reported case in Sandakan, Sabah is currently receiving treatment at Bintulu Hospital.

One Covid-19 cluster — the Alam Cluster in Bintulu —is still active with eight cases. All of the cases from this cluster have recovered and discharged from hospital.

There were four new persons under investigation (PUI) reported and none awaits laboratory test result.

On the number of persons under surveillance (PUS), 10 have been checked into designated hotels to undergo quarantine, bringing the total number of PUS at 11 hotels to 574.

To date, 24,177 PUS have completed their quarantine period.

With no death reported, the death toll in the state remains at 19 or 2.72 percent of the total cases.
