No new positive case; total number still at 703

KUCHING: There was no new positive Covid-19 case today (Sept 25), which means the total number in the state remains at 703.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement, said that there were no new recoveries and discharged patients. Hence, the total number of recoveries and discharged cases remained at 681 or 96.87 percent of the total cases.

The total number of cases still receiving treatment in hospital remained at three with one case each at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), Bintulu Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital.

While there is no Covid-19 case at any intensive care unit (ICU) there is one patient from Sandakan, Sabah being treated at Bintulu Hospital.

One Covid-19 cluster, the Alam Cluster in Bintulu, is still active with eight cases. All cases from this cluster have recovered and discharged from hospital.

There were seven new persons under investigation (PUI) reported and none await laboratory test results.

On the number of persons under surveillance (PUS), 23 have been checked into designated hotels to undergo quarantine, bringing the total number of PUS at 11 hotels to 641.  To date, 24,448 PUS have completed their quarantine period.

With no fatalities reported, the death toll in the state remains at 19 or 2.70 percent of the total cases.
