BAU: All members of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) must abide by decisions made by the top leadership and stand together to support candidates picked to contest in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15).

“The moment a candidate is named to represent GPS in the general election, everyone must work together so that the candidate wins.

“That is what the Premier of Sarawak is telling all the component parties, about loyalty and unity among all members under one banner,” said Parti Demokratik Progresif vice president Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.

He added that party members should not put personal interest above party interest when it comes to proposing candidates to contest in the election.

Clashes among party members can be very critical, he warned.

“It can be very critical if we are against each other and we do not want that to happen. We have to adhere as a party and be loyal to the party,” Henry advised.

“We want to win all the parliamentary seats for GPS and get our rights back in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

“GPS determines who the country’s Prime Minister is because we have voices there, we are more or less considered as one of the decision makers so we want to maintain the strength in Parliament for the good of Sarawak,” he added.
