KUCHING: Supply of eggs in Sarawak is sufficient to meet consumer needs throughout the month of Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Sarawak director Matthew Dominic Barin stated that there was no problem with egg supply, as well as other basic needs.

“We do not have any problem here in Sarawak and we are very thankful that every premises here follows the compliance that we have implemented.

“If there is any complaint, please contact our department as we are actively inspecting every premises here in Sarawak.”

Matthew said this after a walkabout at Satok Ramadan Bazaar here on yesterday (April 4).

On the bazaar, he said at the moment, the prices of the food and drinks were still affordable.

“I’ve also seen some food selling for under RM5 and some hawkers also sell (food) for RM2.
