GEDONG: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has firmly stated that there will be no reshuffling of ministers in the State Cabinet.

Abang Johari, who is also the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman, responded ‘No’ when asked about the possibility of a Cabinet reshuffle.

“Who told you (reporters), I do not know about any issue on the shuffle (of State Cabinet). (There is) no (reshuffle),” he said.

He was speaking to reporters at  a press conference after a work visit to a paddy planting project site in Kampung Lubok Punggor here yesterday (Oct 6).

The Premier was asked to comment on whether a Cabinet reshuffle might occur given that the GPS government had already reached half of its term.

When asked on the current performance of the GPS government, Abang Johari responded that the state under GPS was performing well.

“That is why during the Federal Cabinet meeting, I was  asked to brief them (the Federal Cabinet ministers). If not, they won’t ask me to brief them,” he said.
