KUCHING: Road users are assured that the Kenyalang flyover at Kenyalang roundabout near BDC is safe as there is no structural crack underneath it.
Federal Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof explained that the diagonal line seen overlapping the concrete is normal in concreting due to formwork.
“The investigation by Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) and consultants showed that there is no structural crack,” he said in a Facebook post.
Fadillah assured that the bridge — completed in 2010 — is safe as per commented by the consultant, Jurutera Jasa.
Last Saturday, a nine-second video clip along with a few pictures of the ‘crack’ went viral on social media.
