KUCHING: The search for the missing woman in Sungai Rayu entered its third day today without any signs of the victim.

The operation will resume tomorrow (Apr 21) at 11 am.

The search is led by Inspector Benjamin of the Lundu District Police and has encountered challenges due to receding water levels and the hazardous conditions in the crocodile-infested area.

“Despite the efforts of the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), Sarawak Forestry Corporation, and other agencies, the victim has not been found,” said Bomba in a statement.

A secondary operation has also been conducted, involving patrols up Sungai Rayu to the Rambungan Ferry.

The operation utilises various resources, including boats, drones and tracking dogs.

Despite these efforts, there have been no traces of 76-year-old Minu Khien, who has been missing since April 17 after a crocodile attack.

Authorities remain dedicated to finding Minu and providing closure for her family.

The public is urged to stay alert and report any information that might help in the search efforts.
