KUALA LUMPUR: The tenure of Datuk Noripah Kamso as chairman of Bank Rakyat and all other positions held as chairman of the Bank Rakyat Foundation ended on Saturday, April 4.

The name of the new chairman will be announced once the appointment process is finalised, the bank said in a statement here.

Bank Rakyat said it is optimistic that despite the change in the bank leadership, all planned operations and directions will continue as usual to continue its legacy of excellence.

Noripah, who was also a former advisor of CIMB Islamic, has been with Bank Rakyat since Dec 11, 2018, replacing Tan Sri Shukry Mohd Salleh.

“We appreciate the good deeds and services provided by Noripah, especially in spearheading the bank’s plan and leading its sustainability agenda, and we wish all the best in her future,” Bank Rakyat said. – Bernama
