MUKAH: The leaders of the state are not “old wine in a new bottle”.

Tellian assemblyman, Yussibnosh Balo, told Suara Sarawak on Sunday (June 21) that Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) were doing something new to ensure that the state continued to move forward with previously planned vision.

“Among them are the establishment of the Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS), Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) and many others that have never been done before. All are to drive the development of the state to a high level.

“I would like to invite Ketua Masyarakat and Ketua Kaum of this state, especially those in my constituency, to always stand firm behind the existing government, including in the implementation of the RTPs in their respective areas as the GPS government always acts in the best interests of the people.

“The understanding among the state assemblymen is also evident, including between Tellian assemblyman and Balingian assemblyman since their service centres are located in the same building,” he said.

Yussibnosh was speaking at the UKAS @Community N.57 Tellian programme at SCORE Building here on Sunday (June 21).

Datuk Takun Sload, who represented the director of the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), explained that UKAS was set up after Sarawak news rarely appeared in mainstream electronic media since Pakatan Harapan (PH) took over the federal government in 2018.

He said the state government established UKAS to disseminate information on Sarawak.
