SIBU: It was a devastating moment for a father, Phang Wei Beng who had lost his wife and two sons in the recent Triso ferry point tragedy.

The husband of the late Lorna Ting, 33, and father of Alvin Phang, 12, and Wallace Phang, 7, was lost for words when met at the Mortuary House at Bukit Lima in Sibu here.

“Now I am the only one left,” he said briefly in a sad tone.

The losses of the three loved ones were still a shock for Phang and he could hardly speak due to his current sad emotions.

He shared that the bodies would be cremated at the Sibu Nirvana Memorial Park on Tuesday.

Families and friends from Sibu and as far as Kapit also paid their last respects to the deceased.

Earlier, the two hearses carrying the remains of the three victims arrived at the mortuary at 1am on Sunday (Jan 3).

The hearses left the Sri Aman Hospital at about 8pm on Saturday (Jan 2) after a special prayer was held for the three victims.
