LAWAS: Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Trusan here recently received contributions of computers and other items from the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) together with Kemena Holdings Sdn Bhd and HMN Nadhir Sdn Bhd.

The contribution was handed over by Deputy Chief Minister cum NRDA chairman Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.  It is part of the Regional Corridor Development Authority’s (Recoda) corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

Recoda in a statement on its official website today stated that the purpose of the contribution is to alleviate the burden faced by the school following the recent floods which occurred in the area.

“The items were presented to the school’s headmaster Suliman Yahya at Lawas town earlier today. Included among the items were six desktop computers, six printers, ten mattresses and ten prayer mats,” it said.

It added that as a regional development agency under Recoda, NRDA is tasked with implementing socio-economic and infrastructure projects in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).

“The statutory body also promotes and facilitates investments to Score as well as creates job opportunities,” said the statement.
