NREB fine-tuning its anti-graft plan

KUCHING: The Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) is fine-tuning the final draft of its Organisational Anti-Corruption Plan (OACP).

NREB Sarawak Controller of Environmental Quality Justine Jok Jau Emang said the OACP was expected to be ready during the first quarter of next year.

He added that the board was committed to upholding integrity and a corruption-free work environment,

“The board would like to announce that our financial statement for 2019 has received a clean audit report from the National Audit Department,” he said at the NREB’s Integrity and Innovation Day here at a leading hotel here on Monday (Oct 19).

Justine added the board had embraced digitalisation since last year.

“We are utilising drone technology to help monitor the environmental enforcement activities following the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Apart from conducting virtual meetings, we have also utilised drone technology and are now in the midst of preparing the standard of operating procedures (SOPs) for drone operating activities,” he added.
