MIRI: Members of Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) on Tuesday (Aug 30) paid their last respects to Datin Sylvia Lim Siew Lee, the wife of Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, who is Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts.

The late Lim passed away on Sunday (Aug 28) at the age of 65 after battling lung cancer for almost a year.

The NSJA delegation, led by president Andy Jon Wan Joon, arrived at Ting’s residence in Tanjong Lobang here around 8am.

The late Lim was diagnosed with lung cancer and had sought treatment in Kuala Lumpur before the Covid-19 pandemic struck in 2020.

She leaves behind Ting, five children and a granddaughter.

She will be laid to rest at Fairy Park Memorial Park on Sept 1.
