I would like to wish everyone Selamat Hari Malaysia. I hope that our country will continue to prosper and that the burden of the rising cost of living, especially now, would be reduced. This is important in order for our rakyat to live harmoniously. This, I believe, is the wish of every Malaysian.

Together, we built this great country we now call home. I hope to see Malaysia grow further as a nation where its people’s basic needs are met, such as access to quality education, healthcare, and welfare services. I am confident that by working together, we can build a better Malaysia for Malaysians. May the spirit of ‘Segulai Sejalai’ inspire us as we chart our course forward, and may we live in continuous peace and harmony. Insya-Allah.

It is crucial that we continue to emphasise unity and inclusivity in order to ensure Sarawak’s progress and the wellbeing of its people. My Ministry and its subordinate departments aim to focus on the people’s welfare and wellbeing, prepare for Sarawak’s ageing population in 2028, and create a senior-friendly environment while establishing Child-Friendly City Initiatives in all major cities throughout Sarawak.

We hope that Malaysia, under the Madani concept, can improve not only in terms of physical development but also in people’s livelihoods. We hope that through various government initiatives such as ‘Jualan Amal and Rahmah’, we will be able to assist the people in combating the high cost of living. We hope to bring down inflation and increase people’s wages.
