SEREMBAN: A school administrative assistant claimed trial in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday to three counts of forgery last year.

Mohd Fauzi Nor Osman, 41, allegedly falsified the signatures of the headmaster and senior assistant 1 at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Ladang Cairo, Mantin on a school cheque of R6,600 and cashing and banking the money into his account.

He is accused of committing the offence on Feb 13, 2018 between 8 am and 5 pm.

On the second and third charges, he is accused of forging the signatures of the same persons involving a school cheque of RM780  and  cashing and banking  the money into his account;  he allegedly committed the second offence  at the same place on Feb 27, 2018 between 8 am and 5 pm whereas the third offence was allegedly committed at the same place on March 5, 2018 between 8am and 5pm.

The charges under Section 468 of the Penal Code each carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine upon conviction. Magistrate Mahyun Yusof set RM3,000 as bail for each charge and fixed May 28 for remention. Deputy public prosecutor Mas Syafiqah Mahroob represented the prosecution. – Bernama
