MIRI: An oil tanker carrying 16,000 litres of petrol that skidded off the road near Suai Bridge along the Miri Coastal road was safely removed on Saturday.

Miri Fire and Rescue Department reported that the tanker had slid about 10 feet from the road and ended up on its side. No one was hurt in the incident.

Upon receiving an emergency call about the incident at 3.03 pm, a response team from the Batu Niah fire station was quickly dispatched to the site.

The tanker was safely cleared from the area by 5.22 pm, ensuring no further dangers.
