KUCHING: Old Kuching Smart Heritage (OKSHe) Agenda 2019, a seven-day event, is set to begin today (March 25) and runs through to March 31 at Kuching Waterfront.
Organised by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) in collaboration with OKSHe and Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), the programme intends to transform Kuchingites into smart city folk in line with the state government’s goal to reach the smart city level.
Themed “Empowering Smart Community”, the agenda will be officially launched by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg on March 27.
Activities organised for the public include Heritage Water Sport, Heritage 30KM Fun Ride, Heritage 4KM Night Run, Amazing Race, Kuching Got Talent, martial arts competition, street soccer competition, eSport competition, creative 3D art competition, traditional games and shrimp fishing competition.
Apart from sports and leisure activities, various activities such as nightly heritage shows, busking marathon, exhibitions, food trucks, flea market and many more are held throughout the seven-day event that are all set up to entertain the public.
This will be the first event to utilise the Sarawak Pay application for all transactions made.
