KUCHING:  Twenty-five members of the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) were privileged to be among the 7,500-strong audience at the extraordinary musical showcase Ola Bola The Musical at the at Stadium Perpaduan on Sunday.

They were seated at the special VIP seats. Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB), as part of company Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives on Healthcare aspect, had invited them to be their special guests at the event.

BPHB in a press statement said the objective was to motivate and bring joy to the SCCS members.

BPHB remains committed to give all-out support especially moral support to the children, patients and their families.

Indirectly, BPHB believed that this effort was also to promote public awareness of paediatric cancers among community.

SCCS is a non-profit organisation (NGO) dedicated to meeting the needs of families of patients diagnosed with paediatric cancer. It also provides holistic support to families by addressing financial, logistical, medical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Its committee is made up of 70 per cent patients’ parents and 30 per cent volunteers to support the cause.

Earlier, BPHB also invited their clients and state stakeholders to the ‘Teh Tarik Session’ at Grand Margherita Hotel.

The Teh Tarik Session is a sharing platform for Bintulu Port to communicate its transformation strategy and getting customers views and opinion on realizing Bintulu Port vision to be a World Class Port Operator.

While the group enjoyed ‘Ola Bola The Musical’ showcase together, BPHB is confident that this event will nurture the spirit of teamwork between customers, state and Bintulu Port.
