Old Batu Kawa town’s gateway gets new look for new year

ORIENTAL THEME... The Batu Kawa Old Bazaar spends RM6,000 to decorate its Chinese New Year 2019 arch with more than a hundred lanterns. The 120-year old Batu Kawa bazaar is located by the riverbank of Sarawak River. It used to be the transit point for travellers to head up river to destinations such as Batu Kitang, Siniawan, Buso and Tondong bazaar until the late 60s.
