Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang, who was present at the event, said: “I would like to thank and applaud the organisers for this very meaningful event.

“Traditionally, Chinese New Year is a time for family to gather together to affirm family ties and celebrate a joyous occasion — same as Hari Raya and Gawai.”

Lo, who is also chairman of Padawan Municipal Council, said Sarawakians are caring when it comes to sharing festivals with the elderly and the underprivileged.

Also present at the CNY gathering celebration was Team Dynamic Kuching leader Eric Tay, organising chairman of the gathering Calvin Sim, Rumah Seri Kenangan visiting board member Yeo Seek Yong, members of Alvin Interior Deco and Team Dynamic Kuching.
