KUCHING: While local-based Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) has its aspirations to assume the state government, the voters view their leaders as being old wine in new wineskin.
Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) president Voon Lee Shan said in the eyes of the voters, PSB leaders were part of the previous government at both state and federal levels who have failed Sarawakians.
“PSB is considered as old wine in new wineskin. Old wine and new wineskin cannot mix as the new wineskin will burst and the wine will pour out and be lost,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
Voon said Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sarawak component parties such as Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will also be castigated for failing to fulfill their promises in the last general election.
“People still remember when Dr Mahathir (former prime minister and PH chairman) said their manifesto was not a bible and with this (the voters) will punish DAP and PKR. It will be a very interesting election,” he said.
