One more python caught, released

MIRI: A python weighing around 5kg was caught early this morning as it was trying to slither into a nearby building in Times Square, Jalan Marina here.

The three-metre-long reptile was first spotted when the five security guards on duty were making rounds in the area at 12.51am.

They immediately called the Civil Defence force (APM) Miri for assistance.

According to Miri APM officer, Captain (PA) Usman Harto, four Miri APM personnel were deployed to the area and caught the python.

It took them seven minutes to secure the area.

They later released the snake onto its natural habitats.
