Talk about the Secrets of Online Wholesale Abroad Poster

MIRI: A talk is being organised to encourage the co-operative movement to explore new market segments online.

It will be hosted by the Malaysian Co-operative Institute (IKMa) Sarawak Zone here on Feb 15.

The programme aims to expose the co-operative movement, especially here and the surrounding areas, to online wholesaling.

Other thanbeing able to learn the techniques and strategies of online wholesaling, it will provide opportunities to generate co-operative income that can be earned through the business.

Three topics will be covered by Senior Training Officer of IKMa Sarawak Zone Mohamad Suandi Mortadza, Senior Assistant Director of Co-operative Commission Lily Fawziah Adnan and Captain (B) Zainol Rashid Burhan.

“The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic has led to the emergence of new market segments through the adoption of e-commerce among entrepreneurs and the co-operative sector,” said Mohamad Suandi.

In a statement he said many new entrepreneurs saw the situation as an opportunity to start a business and explore new strategies.

“Online business activity increased by up to 28.9 per cent since the first month of the Movement Control Order implementation.

“With existing enterprises and businesses shifting to digital product marketing, this opportunity is also seized by many new entrepreneurs to continue to survive.

“The cooperative movement must look at new online market segments that are gaining popularity.”

Knowledge of the ins and outs of proper online wholesaling will help entrepreneurs get maximum returns, he said.
