PADAWAN: A man was nabbed for online gambling activities in an anti-gambling operation codenamed Ops Dadu raid on Tuesday (August 11).
According to Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan the suspect, aged 27, was arrested at a shoplot in commercial centre at Jalan Belatok, around 8.35pm.
“A Condor branded handset and a cash of RM140 were also seized from the suspect.
“The suspect admitted to be involved in online gambling activities and he also has a previous criminal record,” he said in a statement issued on Tuesday (August 12).
The team of Criminal Investigation Department of IPD Padawan also conducted another two inspections at Jalan Belatok and Taman Malihah, around 8.25pm and 8.35pm.
No gambling equipment was detected or found during the inspections. Monitoring would be carried out from time to time, said Aidil.
