Outbound flight fares from Mukah remain

MUKAH: Airfares from Mukah to outside destinations in Sarawak will remain at the current rate.

It was previously announced that the new rate is effective from Aug 1 until 15 only.

Local travel agent Mukah Travel Sdn Bhd (MTSB) staff Rosdi Basir confirmed that there was no change in the current ticket price.

“The current rate will remain until anytime for now,” she told New Sarawak Tribune today (Aug 18).

MTSB recently announced on social media that outbound flight fares from Mukah was increased by RM11 effective Aug 1 until 15.

Currently, the new Mukah Airport, like the old short landing and take-off airport (STOLport), only caters for domestic routes, namely to and from Sibu, Miri, Kuching and Bintulu.

The current airfares from Mukah to Kuching are priced at RM153, Mukah-Sibu (RM88), Mukah-Miri (RM141) and Mukah-Bintulu (RM99).

The ticket price from Kuching to Mukah is RM154, Sibu-Mukah (RM89), Miri-Mukah (RM142) and Bintulu-Mukah (RM100).

The last day of flight operations at the Mukah STOLport, about three kilometres from town, was on July 16. The new Mukah Airport at KM7 Jalan Mukah-Oya started operations the next day.
