KUCHING: The outcome of the state elections in the six states of Peninsular Malaysia being tied shows that Pakatan Harapan (PH) still has the support of the people.

Political analyst Professor Datuk Mohd Fadzil Abdul Rahman said the potential of the Unity Government was clearly shown in the results of the just concluded elections.

“PH can boast that they still have strength and are a government suited for the current political situation,” he said.

During the state elections, the PH-BN unity pact managed to retain Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Penang while Perikatan Nasional (PN) retained their power in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.

Fadzil said the federal government’s position was not affected by the result.

“Nothing has changed with the administrative system or there is no change in government at the federal level.

“Their wins show the strength they have in the administration of their respective states,” he said.
