SIBU: The moonlight cinema event, the first-ever outdoor cinema where you can enjoy your movie night in an open space while stargazing will be held here at Phase 1, Sibu Town Square on April 23.

The event is organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI) under The Hyper Young programme, which was initiated by Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng Jin Ek.

Chieng on Thursday (April 14) said that the event would help to foster unity and harmony among the attendees who are from different races and religions.

“We organised it together with N55 Nangka programme, which is the Lan Berambeh Sungkey, after the programmes, we will continue with our moonlight cinema.

“So it is good that we will be able to buka puasa together and enhance our racial harmony and unity.”

Chieng revealed that the movie shown would be Ola Bola, which was inspired by the glory days of the Malaysian national football team that successfully entered the 1980 Summer Olympics.
