KUCHING: SJKC Sg. Moyan here Saturday invited Hope Place founder Kelvin Wan to give a talk on charity and volunteerism. More than 100 students under the guidance of the school’s Senior Assistant Students Affair (PK. HEM) Chai Siew Ngo attended tha talk held at the school.

Those attending the 90 minute-talk were Primary 4, Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils of the school. At the same time some parents who were around also attended the talk.

School teachers at the school felt it was important to invite Hope Place founder to give the talk to share with pupils the importance of sharing. Kids need to learn how to share food with their friends from an early age. Kelvin pointed out, pupils who notice their friends without food during break or recess time should share with their friends so that no one would go hungry.

By the end of the talk Sr. Assistant Chai Siew Ngo presented a small fruit hamper for Hope Place founder as an appreciation for his time and trouble. Hope Place carries out their aid deliveries once every three months because of the many families on their recipients list.
