Over 20 booths featured in SHEDA’s Home and Property Roadshow 2022

KUCHING: Over 20 booths consisting of members of Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers (SHEDA) and the non-members are showcased in this year’s SHEDA Kuching Branch Home and Property Roadshow 2022.

The roadshow began, which from December 1 until December 4 also featured financial institutions, customised material suppliers and home internet suppliers.

Its organising chairman, Alan Wong said that this is a great chance for those who wish to get information on properties and related services under one roof.

“Visitors will be able to find offers such as an apartment selling at RM288,800 onwards or a double storey house from RM365,600 onwards,” he said.

He also urged that those who do not any house yet to consider purchasing their first residential property during the roadshow to enjoy 100 percent stamp duty waiver as allowed under the “Stamp Duty (Exemption) Order 2021”.

“This order also states that it is only applicable to residential properties valued at less than RM500,000 and sale and purchase signature before December 31 2025,” he said.

He said this during the opening ceremony of the roadshow at Aeon Mall in Kuching on Friday (December 1).

Alan said buyers who spend a minimum of RM1,000 in any if their booths during the four-day roadshow stand a chance to win a 50-inch Android 10.0 Smart TV with infinity screen and other electrical appliances in the “Buy and Duty” Lucky Draw, and all totalling more than RM10,000 worth of prizes.

Credit Management and Counselling Agency (AKPK) Kuching regional office, which is an agency by Bank Negara Malaysia is also present at the roadshow to advise on financial management and provide information on personal credit through Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS).

Visitors who register at SHEDA booth will be given discount vouchers sponsored by food and beverages (F&B) sponsors Izumi Bakery, Seoul Garden, and Nando’s subject to availability and on first come first serve basis.

All visitors are also welcomed to sample some Christmas treats at SHEDA booth sponsored by Izumi Bakery.

Other activities during the roadshow include cupcake decorating and soap dough making for kids aged five to 12 years on Saturday and Sunday (December 3 and 4) respectively.

Smart reader kids will also be doing some performance and Christmas craft using recyclables activities which is open to all children from aged three to 12 years old.

Present during the opening ceremony was political secretary to Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian cum Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government of Sarawak, Tan Kai, president of SHEDA, Augustine Wong, deputy president Louis Ting, and SHEDA Kuching branch chairman Cr Datuk Sim Kiang Chiok among others.
