MUKAH:  More than 200 Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) forms have been issued by the District Office here since they were made available last Wednesday.

A survey by New Sarawak Tribune yesterday found that the forms were issued through the front counter of the District Office.

“Yes, we have KGC forms here and we have issued more than 200 copies already,” a staff manning the counter said.

He added that the forms were also available at the Resident’s Office, located at the same 12-storey Menara Pehin Setia Raja building, the tallest landmark here.

According to him, completed forms should be submitted to the Welfare Department here.

At the Welfare Department, about 250m away, hundreds of forms are believed to have been distributed so far.

“Sorry, I have lost count the total number of forms we have distributed so far,” said the counter staff.

Meanwhile, Romi Zulkiflee, 69, said he obtained the form, which was issued in duplicates, two days ago.

“I am still doubtful when filling the next-of-kin section in the form,” the applicant explained.

The man from Kampung Teh here claimed that he received vague information about the KGC from his colleague, and did not know much about it.
