Over 2,000 receive BPN, BPR cash aid

PAKAN: A total of 1,019 recipients of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) 2.0 and 1,032 recipients of Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) 2021 from this constituency would receive cash assistance.

The cash payment programme is done at Pakan Community Hall beginning Saturday (March 13) until Monday (March 15).

The eligible recipients of the first phase implementation programme are those who do not have a bank account.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Pakan assemblyman Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom went on the ground to monitor the programme last Saturday (March 13).

He applauded the programme which was done in accordance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

The organiser has made a schedule based on the SOP to ensure the attendance of recipients is at minimum for each session to ensure the safety of recipients and staff.

The programme was led by State Federal Financial Officer Mohd Saiful Sungkih Abdullah as the head of the programme secretariat, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) with the assistance of Pakan District Office, the police, People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) and Maradong and Julau District Council (MDMJ).
