Over 27,200 residents in Sri Aman vaccinated

Vaccine recipients wait their turn to be injected

SRI AMAN: Over 27, 200 residents here have been vaccinated under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) since last February.

The programme is being held at Dewan Suarah Sri Aman Vaccination Centre (PPV).

The PPV chief coordinator Dr Janariah Jangani said today (June 19) alone, 589 persons were vaccinated, comprising 388 who received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine while 201 received their second dose.

The recipients consisted of the elderly, high-risk groups and people with disabilities (OKU).

Meanwhile, the public expressed their gratitude to the government for taking proactive action in helping the people to get the vaccine for free.

In addition, there are mobile PPV services opened in remote areas such as Pantu, Engkilili, Lingga and Skrang to facilitate residents from remote areas to obtain the vaccines.

PICK went smoothly with the help of MyVac Youth and Sports Volunteers, Sri Aman Resident’s Office, Royal Malaysian Police (RMP), and Rela.
