Over 500 turn up at SK Long Naah following voting resumption

MIRI: A total of 592 registered voters in Kampung Long Naah, Baram turned up on Today (Nov 21) at the polling centre in SK Long Naah to cast their ballots following the resumption of voting for the Baram parliamentary constituency.

Voting was suspended last Saturday (Nov 19) by the Election Commission (EC) due to poor weather conditions that hampered the transporting of ballot boxes to polling stations in Baram.

According to Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Telang Usan youth exco information chief Allen Nyipa Wan, voters turned up at the polling station as early as 7.45am, Monday to fulfil their civic responsibility.“The we

Allen was among those who cast their votes. Also spotted was Kampung Long Naah chief Wan Deng@Albert.
SK Long Naah polling station later closed at 1pm.

Earlier, the EC disclosed that voting for Baram had resumed. A total of 12 polling stations were open.
