Over 80pct of Dalat folk received vaccine first dose so far

DALAT: As of Thursday (July 22), 10,943 people or 84.1 per cent of the district’s population have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 8,907 (68.5 per cent) have completed their doses.

Sarawak Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said another 120 people had their first dose and 240, their second dose, on Friday (July 23)

She added that 13,006 people here had registered for immunisation through the MySejahtera app so far.

“For the mobile outreach immunisation programme, the first dose was completed in June and early July,” she said at an event here on Friday.

The mobile outreach programme involved 15 longhouses in Ulu Baoh, with 503 recipients, two villages (Kampung Klid and Kampung Narub) with 207 recipients, and 10 longhouses in Nanga Baoh (186 recipients).

Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, revealed that in Ulu Baoh, the first dose was administered on June 25-26, second dose (July 16-17; Kampung Klid and Kampung Narub (first dose July 4, second dose July 25); and Nanga Baoh (first dose July 8, second dose July 29).

At the event, Fatimah also presented cheques totalling RM105,000 from the Unit for Other Religions to three religious bodies, as well as minor rural project grants for house improvement.
