The ‘gotong-royong’ project was one of their activities held to coincide with the fasting month of Ramadan in honour of the dead.

According to the organising chairperson Zulaini Junaidi the ‘gotong-royong’ project was also one of their traditions to clear their cemetery during the month of Ramadan as their commitment to show respect to their ancestors.
