KUCHING: Padawan police yesterday paid a visit to the police pensioners in Padawan area to show their care and concern apart from strengthening friendship among police retirees.

Led by Padawan deputy police chief DSP Merbin Lisa, the police team dropped by to visit several of the retirees to bring cash and gifts in conjunction with the 212th Police Day do that was celebrated nationwide on Tuesday.

This visit was to show them that they are remembered for their sacrifices they made while serving in the police force, said Merbin. He added such visit would bring a lot of joy to the retirees as most of them missed the force.
