LUNDU: The construction work on the Pan Borneo Highway Sematan – Moyan, known as Work Package Contract (WPC) 02, is almost finished, with 98 per cent completion achieved.
Tanjong Datu Assemblyman, Azizul Annuar Adenan, thanked to both the federal and state governments for their efforts in nearly completing this section of the highway.
He said that the completion of this route is particularly important for the residents of Tanjong Datu and Opar constituencies.
During the symbolic opening ceremony yesterday (June 20) at the project site, he took the opportunity to remind all road users, whether they are from the local area or outside, to exercise caution while driving along the route especially at the junctions and U-turns, as these areas have witnessed numerous accidents due to reckless driving.
Earlier, Phase 1 of the Telok Melano – Sematan Package, was completed in its entirety in January 2019.
