SIBURAN: The Kampung Panchor Hot Spring will undergo substantial improvements, thanks to a RM3 million funding from the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA).
GKCDA chairman, Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, said the allocation was aimed to upgrade the hot spring’s facilities. This funding reflects the agency’s commitment to nurturing community-centric projects over merely aesthetic developments.
“The hot spring’s revenue, approximately RM200,000 annually, benefits every household in Kampung Panchor,” he said at the launch of the Kampung Panchor Dayak Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Operations Room recently.
He also expressed his desire for future projects to similarly improve residents’ income and overall economic health.
In addition to the hot spring development fund, Sagah presented a RM30,000 mock cheque to the Tarat Community Leaders Club (KMKK) and RM40,000 to the Tarat Education Committee.
