LUBOK ANTU: Despite being poor, rural parents should always give priority to their children’s education for their future well-being.

Lubok Antu MP Jugah Muyang said that education was an extremely useful asset as it could change the living standard of their children and families.

“Only education can solve poverty in rural areas. Hence, parents have to prioritise their children’s education by sending them to school.

Jugah arrives for the luncheon-dialogue with members of SK Nanga Menjuau PTA.

“This is because only education can change one’s life for the better and if our children are successful in their education, they can definitely change the economic situation of the family,” he said at a luncheon-dialogue session with members of SK Nanga Menjuau’s Parent-Teacher Association, earlier today.

Jugah also called on school PTAs in his constituency to work together and to strive harder to develop their respective schools.

“Only through the support of PTAs can facilities and school infrastructure can be improved,” he said.

During the event Jugah also announced an allocation of RM230,000 to SK Nanga Menjuau to repair facilities and infrastructure in the school to provide convenience and comfort to both the students and teachers.
