KUCHING: Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) Sarawak is eyeing the five parliamentary seats which the party contested in the last general election (GE14).
According to its PAS Information chief Syamsul Bahri, the seats are Petra Jaya, Kota Samarahan, Batang Sadong, Batang Lupar and Sibuti.
However, Syamsul said there has been no final decision whether the party will contest in all five seats or to go for additional seats.
“Cooperation with Bersatu under Perikatan Nasional is still under discussion because the strategy in Sarawak is different from Peninsular Malaysia, especially in terms of the political landscape,” he said in a statement on Monday (Oct 17).
PAS lost badly in all the five seats it contested in the 14th general election.
