KAPIT: Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat and the staff of Kapit District Council (KDC) led by its walikota Dato Philimon Nuing made a visit to the proposed site of the pasar malam and barbeque traders locally known as ‘Rumah Asap’ at the compound of Kapit Civic Centre.

Currently, KDC has erected a temporary structure at the old airport for the pasar malam and barbeque traders as the existing location has been approved for the construction of a multi-storey car park to address parking woes in this town.

For the pasar malam traders, their proposed relocation site is at the parking space in front of Kapit Civic Centre while the proposed relocation place for the barbeque traders is the futsal court at the existing KDC football field.

Accompanying Jamit and Philimon were Kapit Civic Centre manager Cr Bakat Gira, KDC Senior Assistant Environmental Health Officer Favian Masing, KDC technical assistant Afizi Qazi Suot and staff from Bukit Goram Service Centre.
