“J-KOM Sarawak director is a federal position, the appointment is under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister’s office

“My name was submitted and the position was approved by the SPA (Public Services Commission of Malaysia) and the appointment was blessed by the Prime Minister,” he said.

He was responding to Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice president Datuk Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah’s comment regarding the federal government’s rumoured appointment of Ahmad Nazib.

Ahmad Nazib added that since the J-KOM Sarawak director position was a federal position, the federal government did not have to consult the Sarawak government before making any appointment.
