KUCHING: Sixty cataract and seven pterygium patients from various places here were successfully treated for their ailments.

The treatment was held during the 15th Cataract and Pterygium Camp at Betong Hospital from Aug 5-6.

The ‘Betong First Sight Programme’ was jointly organised by Lions Club of Kuching Metro, the Health Ministry Cataract Clinic and the Ophthalmology Department of Sarawak General Hospital.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who is also Bukit Saban assemblyman, sponsored the intraocular lenses for the patients.
